"MR LANDMAN"...Speciaizing in farmland and rural properties.
I love being a Realtor! Whether you are a buyer or seller, I am looking forward to working with you to help you meet your real estate goals! With my 22 years of business experience owning an international agri-business, I have perhaps a more diverse skill set to help a wider variety of potential real estate clientele. I personally think being a Realtor primarily comes down to building relationships and listening to exactly what your individual client is looking for. I LOVE working with young couples or families who are on the hunt for their dream home! Looking for a home is such an exciting time in most people's lives and it should be treated with excitement with their real estate professional. Some people say that I’m not your typical Realtor. I'm the type of Realtor that might give you a "high five" when we finally find that house that gives you the "dream kitchen" or “man cave” that you've been looking for! My business background has led me to be a very numbers driven individual. This skill set has led me to be a great resource with respect to office, commercial, & income producing properties. And finally as a fifth generation Illinois farmer, my heart will always feel a special connection with those of you looking to buy productive Illinois farm ground. I make the sales process fun and I love to laugh and have a good time during the process, but be assured that no one will negotiate harder on your behalf than I will. Use my vast business background to your benefit and allow me to get you the best deal possible.
On a personal note I was born and raised on the original family farm that my ancestors settled here back in the mid-1860’s. I graduated from Unity High School in 1991 where I served as the class president. I also participated in athletics and musicals during my time in school. I attended the University of Illinois where I graduated with a degree in agricultural economics in 1995. During my time at the University I was an elected member to the University Ag Council.
After graduation I started my own agri-business and grew it into an international enterprise that had customers in all 50 states and over 15 foreign countries. As a result of my business I had my “15 minutes of fame” with appearance on ABC National News, Newsweek, Washington Post, and The New York Times (where I had the quote of the day back in 2009). I was honored to have been named the 2015 Illinois Friend of Agriculture Award Winner by the Illinois Department of Agriculture.
On a personal level I am a blessed single dad to two amazing children. My oldest son, Jonathon, is 18 and attending Morton College near Chicago on a full baseball scholarship (left hand pitcher). My youngest daughter, Reagan, is a strong willed 8 year old little girl who has a huge heart and enjoys softball & craft projects. I also have a highly spoiled 11.5 year old Black Lab, Wrigley, who is the best friend a guy could ever ask for.
My hobbies include watching live sports, my children’s sporting events, & going to church. In addition to my job as a realtor, I am also the radio play by play announcer for the University of Illinois-Springfield men’s basketball team. Go Prairie Stars!
