I am so excited to move into my second career, as a real estate broker! I have worked for the past thirty years as an architect, where I have loved being involved with both buildings and clients. I love the built environment, and I particularly love seeing the interaction of people within those spaces. As an architect, I focused on historic buildings, energy efficiency, and sustainability. And, of course, working with the clients who would inhabit what I designed! Now that I have retired as an architect, I want to continue working with buildings, and the people who use them every day. And what better way than to see people matched with the perfect home!
I have two wonderful children. My oldest is attending graduate school at Princeton University for a PhD in Bio-Chemical Engineering. She is the brains in the family! My son is playing football at University of Louisville and on his MBA, with his eyes on being an Athletic Director one day.
My husband (a mechanical engineer who designs building heating and cooling systems) and I enjoy traveling and renovating houses. Because conversations around our dinner table often included our work, our children have grown up hearing about our industry. So, our favorite family adventure was the one where we recently took a summer and renovated a local house together. Since the kids were home, we made it a family project and had them work with us to learn the how's and why's of working on a home. We found our daughter has a fantastic design sense, and our son loves working with the sledgehammer, creating anything out of wood, and implementing landscape design.
Please reach out to me so I can help you in your search for a local home, or explore the best ways to market and sell your home. I look foward to working with you!
