Nature Center

We've always been excited when clients come to us looking for Brillion homes for sale. Brillion is such a vibrant area with so many different things to see and enjoy. One place we highly recommend visiting when you're here is the Brillion Nature Center. Whether you're a hiker, a biker, or a birdwatcher, this nature center has so much to offer.

  • Location and Logistics
The Brillion Nature Center is located towards the southeast corner of Brillion, along the edge of the Brillion State Wildlife area. The address is W1135 Deerview Rd., Brillion, WI 54110.

Generally, the Nature Center is open from 9 am - 3 pm Monday - Friday. The outdoor areas surrounding the center are open from dusk until dawn. Parking is always free. You can walk through the Nature Center and hiking trails for free, too.

  • Inside the Nature Center
Inside the Nature Center, there are several different exhibits you can check out. There are also some live exhibits, such as those housing lizards and fish. Kids, especially, will love seeing these small animals and learning about them.

Another attraction inside the Nature Center is the Book Nook. Here, you can find kids' and adults' books about nature, animals, plants, and the Earth.

  • The Nature Trails
Outside the Nature Center, there are more than 7 miles of trails that weave through the surrounding marshes, forests, and meadows. The trails are well-maintained and smooth. You can go at your own pace, admiring everything from ferns to frogs along the way.

There is a picnic area partway down the trail where you can enjoy a packed lunch or just stop for a drink. Also, make sure you check out the Marsh Platform. It's being built over a particularly marshy area and is a great place to watch the water birds.

  • Rentals
You don't need a lot to walk the nature trails here. A comfortable pair of shoes and some water to sip will get you by. However, if you visit during the winter, snowshoes will be an asset. The Brillion Nature Center rents them out for just $5 a pair.

They also have field packs to rent for $5 each. The packs include binoculars, field guides, magnifying glasses, a compass, pencils, a notepad, and a mini-clipboard. If you plan on spending more than an hour out on the trails, renting a field pack is a good way to keep yourself entertained.

  • Membership Opportunities
Should you fall in love with the Brillion Nature Center, they do offer membership opportunities. Adults can join for just $15 a year. Or, your entire family can join for a fee of $20. Members gain access to additional special events throughout the year. If you're new to the area, becoming a Brillion Nature Center member could be a good way to meet others who share your interest in nature.

Whether you stop by for an hour or spend a whole day exploring the trails, we're confident you'll have a great time at the Brillion Nature Center.
