Wagon Wheel

When clients are thinking about moving to Warsaw, they often ask us what the area has to offer. Our Warsaw real estate agents often mention the vibrant arts scene. The Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts is a big part of that scene. Whether you're new to the area or have lived here for ages, we highly recommend visiting.

  • Location and Parking
Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts is located at 2515 E. Center Street, Warsaw, IN 46580. This is just off the Lake City Highway. There is parking available right behind the building. If you need accessible parking, it is available on the north side of the building near the entrance.

There are plenty of restaurants located within walking distance of the theater if you want to enjoy a pre-show meal. Palette serves delicious American food and is located right next door. Another favorite is Oak and Alley, a gastropub with a great selection of unique burgers and local beers. Or, you could walk across the street to Yamato Japanese Steakhouse for some sushi or hibachi.

  • History and Purpose
Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts was originally opened in 1955. Over the years, the center made a series of small improvements, eventually leading to the beautiful theater you see today.

The center's goal is to preserve the legacy of performance art in the Warsaw area. Several community groups host their shows here, including the Wagon Wheel Community Theater and the Wagon Wheel Symphony of the Lakes. The center also hosts traveling shows featuring some of the best performers in the country.

  • Buying Tickets
You can see a complete list of upcoming performances on the Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts website. Ticket prices vary by show, but most shows sell one-price general admission tickets.

  • Auditions and Participation
Perhaps instead of just watching a show, you're interested in acting or performing. Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts has a few opportunities for community members to get involved.

Keep an eye on the theater's auditions page, and you may see auditions for an upcoming show. Some performances by the Wagon Wheel Juniors hold auditions for children and teens. If you play an instrument, you could audition to join the Wagon Wheel Symphony of the Lakes. The Wagon Wheel Community Theater also holds open auditions from time to time.

  • Volunteering
Another way to get involved is to volunteer at the theater. Take a break from looking at Warsaw homes for sale, and spend an evening serving as an usher. This is a wonderful way to get to know others who share your passion for the performing arts.

If you love and support the arts, then you're going to fit right in with the Warsaw community. Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts allows you to experience the best that the city has to offer. If you're still looking for a new home in the area, contact us soon. Our real estate agents will gladly help you navigate the process.
