Who's ready to take a hike? There are some truly excellent trails in the Green Bay area, and fall just happens to be the perfect time of year to explore them. 

Whether you're looking for a short afternoon stroll or an extended backpacking trip, there's nothing quite like a crisp fall hike. Our real estate agents are excited to share their favorite trails near Green Bay, Wisconsin!

  • Baird Creek Trails - 324 Baird Creek Rd, Green Bay, WI 54311
    A unique urban oasis not far from the heart of Green Bay, Baird Creek is a beautiful park-like area that features a large and ever-growing network of trails. There are pathways here for hikers, mountain bikers, joggers, and cross-country skiers. More than 10 miles of trails are currently open, meandering through the hilly woodlands in a series of overlapping loops. The trails are maintained by the Baird Creek Preservation Foundation and zigzag through the valley along its namesake creek. It's a great place to explore near Green Bay homes for sale.

  • Fonferek's Glen - 2825 Dutchman Rd, Green Bay, WI 54311
    A rugged and beautiful landscape spanning 75 acres, Fonferek Glen encompasses Dolomite cliffs and rock formations along the Niagara Escarpment, including a beautiful 30-foot waterfall. Much of the park is completely undeveloped and has been re-planted with native trees and prairie grasses in an effort to restore it to its natural state. One trail is available, a lovely 1.4-mile loop that offers a perfect view of the waterfall. 

  • Ken Euers Nature Area - 1701 Military Ave, Green Bay, WI 54303
    The wild shoreline of Green Bay is on display at Ken Euers Nature Area, which spans a little over 116 acres on the bay shore. It's a popular fishing spot for local anglers and also features a network of nature trails and boardwalks that meander through the wetlands and marshes. Ken Euers Nature Area is also a haven for shore birds and is one of the best bird-watching spots in the Green Bay area. Sandpipers, terns, egrets, great blue herons, and various duck species are common. 

  • Mountain Bay State Recreational Trail - 904-942 Lakeview Dr, Howard, WI 54313
    Stretching 83 miles across Brown, Marathon, and Shawano Counties, the Mountain Bay State Recreational Trail follows the path of a former railroad line and is the longest rail trail in Wisconsin. There are dozens of trailheads and crossings along the way where one can hop on and off the trail. The eastern terminus of the Mountain Bay State Recreational Trail is located on Lakeview Drive in Howard, just a few minutes from downtown Green Bay. The trail has a fairly level grade, with a surface ranging from crushed stone and asphalt to natural earth, making it suitable for hiking as well as cycling and horseback riding. 

  • Green Bay Botanical Garden - 2600 Larsen Rd, Green Bay, WI 54303
    Take a leisurely stroll in the Green Bay area at the Green Bay Botanical Garden. Spanning 47 acres, the gardens are crisscrossed with a network of walking trails that explore a wide range of flowering gardens, vegetable gardens, ponds, and wooded areas. It's great for a family hike, especially in fall, when the leaves display their most vibrant colors. A small fee is charged for admission into the botanical gardens.
