A Truly Unique Museum Experience
As the name suggests, the History Museum at the Castle is far from your average history museum. Start with the museum building located near Appleton homes for sale, which very much resembles a medieval castle designed in the Norman Revival style, with beautiful stonework, vaulted ceilings, and leaded glass windows. The building served as a Masonic temple from the time it was built in 1923 until it was purchased by the museum in the 1980s.
The exhibits here aren't what you'd expect at the average history museum, either. While many exhibits focus on local history from Appleton and other cities in the Fox Valley, there are also exhibits that tie local history to international events and famous people from throughout history. The result is a truly unique museum experience, with something to offer for visitors of all ages.
