Let's look at some highlights:
- Fame Festival – March 18
The Fame Festival kicks off the year with "1-day only" student art showcases. That also includes musical performances, demonstrations, workshops, crafts, and more. Admission is free.
- Bunny Bash – April 8
Wake the kids early for a morning of frolicking fun with Bunny Bash. Hunt for Easter Eggs in the hedge maze, dye eggs with festive colors, and take pictures with the Easter Bunny himself.
- Peabody Tulip Festival – April 29
Visit the Wabash County Community Learning Center for the Peabody Tulip Festival, when hundreds of tulips in over a dozen colors will be in bloom. There'll be food, prizes, and music galore.
- 2nd Fridays on Main – June-September
Hosted by the Main Street Chamber Alliance, you can "Shop, Gather, and Dine" in North Manchester as locals roll out attractions for the whole family. Games, rides, musicians, and vendors will liven your day.
- Summer Music Series – June
The Summer Music Series is staged live at Honeywell Center. Be sure to bring your own chairs for this free show. Local food trucks will be in attendance for delicious meals and drinks.
- Lagro Good Ol' Days – June 16-18
Lagro has a little bit of everything in this popular summer festival. There'll be a kickoff parade, a classic car show, a tractor pull, and a beer tent, along with plenty of down-home comfort food.
- Wabash County 4H Fair – July 15-22
For 4H participants around Wabash County, everything comes down to this action-packed day. It features livestock judging, the famous 4H auction, hayrides, tractor pulls, and an array of food.
- Dave Kunkel Cruise-in Car Show – August 18-19
With more than 400 vehicles on display, even the biggest classic car aficionado is bound to find something unexpected. This two-day event has judging, door prizes, and area food vendors.
- Sidewalk Sales – August 18-19
For one weekend in August, all your favorite Wabash stores and boutiques will slash their prices. Grab the whole family as you go bargain hunting in a festive atmosphere and meet new people.
- Founder's Day Festival – September 16
The Founder's Day Festival Parade is one of the biggest events in Wabash County. Centered on Paradise Springs Historical Park, it features costumed re-enactments. Past years even had an elephant!
- Long Lake Fall Festival – September-October
On September and October weekends, Long Lake is the place to go for fun that kids won't soon forget. There will be hay rides, a bounce castle, gem mining, boat rides, and the fearsome "ninja warrior" obstacle course.
- Wabash Cannonball Chili Cook-Off – October
As the biggest chili cook-off east of the Mississippi, the Wabash Cannonball Chili Cook-Off attracts the top chili chefs from one side of the U.S. to the other. You can taste as many as 100 chilies for just $5.
- Jingle Jubilee – November 18
The annual lighting of the courthouse takes place with live music and historic trolley rides.
- First Fridays, Wabash Winterland, and Light Up the Town – December
Of course, before you know it, it'll be time once again for these iconic holiday events right here in Downtown Wabash. Santa Claus arrives at the end of the light parade!
